Our partner holds a Master's degree in Law from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra.
With a career distinguished by extensive experience in the sports and entertainment sector, he served for ten years as legal advisor to Futebol Clube do Porto - Futebol SAD. During this time, he was directly involved in high-profile international player transfers, having legally advised the club on more than 500 player transfers and contract renewals, including the transfers of players such as Otávio Monteiro (the most expensive transfer in FC Porto’s history), Nico González, Éder Militão, Luis Díaz, Galeno, Evanilson and Francisco Conceição, among many others, and represented the club in numerous proceedings before FIFA, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), and UEFA. This role enabled him to develop high-level legal expertise and strategic skills, both in domestic and international contexts.
Before embarking on his legal career, he was a youth player for Futebol Clube do Porto - Futebol SAD and represented the Portuguese national team at youth levels. This firsthand experience on the field, combined with his specialised legal knowledge, provides him with a unique and insightful perspective on the inner workings and challenges of professional football - a particularly valuable asset in delivering legal services in the field of Sports Law.
In addition to his professional practice, he is a regular speaker at conferences and events dedicated to Sports Law, actively contributing to the ongoing discussion and development of this dynamic legal field
